Iran-UAE ferry
Hello
In January I am organising trip by 2 cars to Oman and UAE. I was already several times by car in Iran, I know that reality, but not yet I use ferry to UAE.
Whether somebody has new information concerning running of the ferry, prices for the person and the vehicle and possible problems on the side of Iran or UAE.
I am also establishing, that having CDP there will be no no problems with entry into UAE and Oman.
I have never used CDP in Iran, but I think to do it now.
Thank you for help.

Hello
Thank you for answer.
It seems that this trip will be not so complicated.
We don't need visa to UAE, we can buy Oman visa on the border, ferry can be easy.
If you can find for me adress of UAE office it would be great.
It would be nice to meet with you.

Hello Bartosz,
Can you tell me wich agency did you contact to get the info about the ferry?
I'm in touch with:
AL HILI MARINE SERVICES LLC
Ground Floor
Al Ikhias Tower
PO Box 27522
Sharjah
Tel: +97165288575
Fax: +97165288574
E-mail: info@alhili.com
Website (Iran): www.valfajr.ir
E-mail (Iran): catamaran@valfajr.ir
They've answer to my emails and calls but the information keeps changing. Initially I was told that ferry from Bander Lengeh was twice a week, Saturdays and Wednesdays but it seems that it has now change and it's Sundays and Tuesdays. It arrives Dubai. From Bander Abbas is three times a week, Saturday, Monday and Wednesday and arrives into Sharja.
Do you have the same info?
And also, what is that 300 USD payment in Sharja about??
Thanks,
Quicos

Hi Quicos
Yes I used the same mails.
I have got all prices and the same terms.
I did not ask about 300 USD (but I saw post about it) but I ask about all prices and cost in harbour.
I have got this:
Dear Mr.Bartosz,
Good day.
Return day from sharjah is Sun’Day , Tue’Day , Thu’Day .
Bandar abbas :
Out bound
· b/l fee : IR RIALS 1/300/000/- per set.
· stevedoring : IR RIALS 220/000/- per unit car.
· port & custom : I don’t have any idea .
· tax : 8% .
In bound:
· delivery order fee : IR RIALS 2/203/200/- per set.
Sharjah :
Out bound :
· b/l fee : AED 360/- per set.
· documention + stevedoring : AED 425/- per unit car.
In bound :
CC:
- dear Mr.Nazer , pls advise for any local charges when pax’s car arrive sharjah .
I'm afraid only about this phrase: "Custom import documentation charges wl be extra."
Maybe this could be 300 USD, but this would be very expensive.

Entering Iran with your car
Hi bartosz,
When you travelled to Iran by car, did you need the escort of a guide? This is according to the regulation implemented in Iran according to which if you enter Iran with a car you need the escort of a guide all along your trip.. I had been planning a trip to Iran with my 4X4 and I was told about this by various agencies.
Could you help please?
Thanks in advance

I had no question about guide. I drove by my car alone without any escort.

Hi Verogirardot,
I like to share my experience about my travel into Iran on my motorcycle I did in June this year.
I applied for Iranian visa in Malaysia (my home country) early this year. They said I need a guide and itinerary of my visit and then quoted me a ridiculous some of money. I refused to pay as I know that only American & British citizens require guide when they enter Iran by road. Despite my explanation, they refused to give one till the day I left Kuala Lumpur to start my travel on 1 April this year.
On 8 June, I reached Pakistan/Iran border at Taftan and the border officials allowed me a 3 week visa without any question about guide and itinerary. So I enter Iran without having to pay anything except for the USD25 visa fee which they asked for.
I am not sure whether I am just lucky or the officials at the border feel sorry to turn me away after traveling so far from Malaysia or there is no such policy. I supposed that this guide issue has no end and very confusing for travelers into Iran. Or it could be the officials at the border like my face and allow me to enter

Road trip to Iran
Hi Borneoman,
Thank you very much for sharing your travel experience. I hope you enjoyed your trip to Iran, I heard it's a wonderful country. I do hope I will get there soon too...
I'll be happy to get tips and advice regarding the organization of such a trip, and any subject you will find relevant.
All the Best
