Hi Coffeechaser,
This is an interesting question since there is no land border between Turkey and Jordan.
Theoretically, you could ship the bike from Turkey to Israel and then continue to Jordan (don't know about importing a bike by ship, though) via the Northern and Southern border. Or - as you mentioned - you could ship to Egypt and then continue via Sinai (please see other thread which mentions a possible ban on foreign vehicles on the Sinai peninsula). If you cross through Sinai, you will have to follow a convoy while the road along the coast and via Sharm el Sheikh is open to individual traffic.
Greetings,
Achim

ferry or road
hey man
I am currently in the same debarkel as you are. I came up the east african coast to Jordan and then crossed over to israel. the best option for you would be to contact a company called Sisa schipping. they operate a ship once a week from inskenderun in turkey to haifa in israel. the aprocsimate cost for this ship in 450$ for you and your bike. then you can go from israel and visit jordan if you like or go straight from israel to egypt. be prepaird for corrupt police officers at the egyption boarder though.
Your other option could be to travel from turkey to iran kuwait and saudi arabia, that is if you can manage to get a transit visa for saudi. there is a ferry that runs from jeddah to port sudan but I am not sure when and at what price.
I hope this info helps you
Cheers Robin

They informed me yesterday, that they suspended this route until appr. september because of low demand.

Shipping route from Iskendrun to Haifa
There is a recent report in the Israeli Motorcycle club about this line. Don't know it is still operational but worth giving them a call.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
