Transit visa Saudi Arabia & marriage
Hi there,
later this year we're starting an Africa trip which we would like to finish by taking a ferry from Sudan to Saudi Arabia.
From other travellers stories i got the impression that it's feasible to get a transit visa for Saudi, BUT ... if you're travelling as a mixed couple you should prove that you're married.
I tought some fake wedding rings would do the trick but now i've been reading that you need a letter from your embassy which proves that you're actually married. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Getting married for a two day transit visa seems a bit over the top...
If i would ask my embassy (Belgian, don't even know yet if we have an embassy over there) to issue me with such a letter, would they really check if i'm married or take my word for it?
Really would like to get that transit visa as i would like to skip Egypt if possible.
Greetings,
Koen
