Looking for Employment with a Tour Company
Hello!
My name is Wendy Crockett. I am 29 years old, and I am looking to secure employment with a tour company.
I am a motorcycle mechanic by trade, certified by Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki. I am also certified to work on watercraft and other small engines. I have also worked on, and am comfortable working on, just about anything. Until recently I owned my own small brick-and-mortar motorcycle dealership, and I am now operating a mobile mechanic service. While the work is undeniably gratifying, it just doesn't allow me enough freedom to have adventures on the scale that I would like. In addition to the experience that running my business has provided, I also hold degrees in Business Management and Business Marketing, and held an Emergency Medical Technician license for five years prior to devoting my career solely to being a mechanic.
I have traveled several hundred thousand miles over the last eleven years, both on-road and off (although primarily on). I have traveled extensively with groups and solo. I am an Iron Butt member, and I have completed numerous Iron Butt rides, all solo, so I am very familiar with the extensive planning that goes into long-distance and long-term rides, as well and all those things you just can't plan for. I camp almost exclusively on my travels (frequently more than two months at a stretch), so "roughing it" is not a problem for me.
I work well with people, am highly adaptable, and am willing to take just about any job that will lead to me spending more time in the saddle. I believe my varied experience will make me an asset to the right company, and I look forward to hearing from anyone who has a position available or a lead on a company that does.
Thank you!
