Camping near Dakhla and Nouadhibou december 2019
Does any one have any recommendations for campsites near Dakhla and Nouadhibou please,


We are driving some vehicles to the Gambia and have most places booked.

I'd recommend Park4night as an app and database. It's the best resource that I have found for Morocco. There are s number if options in Dakhla: formal site at PK25, informal at Westpoint , and parking at airport.

I'd also recommend downloading iOverlander app. This has lots of useful travel and accommodation info. It has info about a campsite on the road to Dakla, less than 10km from the main road. I stayed in a cabin on a surfers campsite in this area in October 2017. The campsite was on the right heading to Dakhla.

I also stayed in the Camping Sahara Line, in Boujdour. It is basic but cheap, even the cabins were only around €12.

Further south at Bir Gandouz, Hotel Barber is also a good stop. Rooms around €20, small restaurant and shop and reasonable WiFi. Also just next to a service station.

I'm assuming that's Charlie. There was a proper site on the road into Dakhla and people stayed at the Plage Public also on the road in but further out. The two apps mentioned are great. Also use maps.me app for maps and POI.

it is Gavin, I think there still is a site on the road in,
I will investigate Boujdour as well

Yeah, it's still there, at least, as of February 2019 it's still there.

You can't miss it, it is a HUGE "refugee camp" full of retired Europeans in their camping vehicles - there must be 100 of them in there at any one time, it is almost funny to look at it... the Moroccan police have a policeman stationed at the entrance to the compound to control traffic and prevent accidents.

It's about 30 KM north of Dhakla on the east side of the road.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love.
