I'm working on a '50th anniversary' writeup of our adventures in Spain and Morocco in 1972 and according to my letter home (on thin airmail paper), diesel in Ceuta was the equivalent of 9p per gallon. We filled the Series I Landy to the brim and stuck another 30 gallons in containers on the roof rack.
I don't know what the price of fuel was in Morocco at the time but we filled up again on the way back to the Spanish mainland, so I assume the Ceuta price was good.
