Foum Zguid to Zagora piste or sealed road?
Can anyone confirm if the above route has been sealed recently? Is it tarmac/concrete all the way?
If so i'm planning to ride it in the next week but i'm on a road bike with a pillion. I rode it in 2005 on a Honda Dominater and recall it was tough going, more boulders than track and then only about 20km was concreted.

I was in the area in January 2013 and I've just looked up the photo at the time of the sign announcing the road works—the project started July 2012 with a predicted completion date of 'debut 2014' (start 2014).

I drove that route in mid January. A large part of the road was complete but a few km had to be completed at the Foum Zguid end and some other areas as well. Road not open at that time. There was a policeman at the Foum Zguid end to check your vehicle was suitable for the route, so he would know the situation of course. I was in a Landcruiser so no problem for me but I would not recommend you attempt it on a road bike with pillion until the road is completed.

Hi, I did it in May in a Landy, no problem, all bar a few kms most of it was sealed, met a few bikes also, they had no problem apart from one guy falling over in a sandy bit of a detour off-road. Stopped to help, he was alright.
Safe travels, Mark
