Morocco 2022 reopening when?
Thanks Chris et al, What's the latest predictions on when Morocco will reopen post-Omicron. The flights to Marrakech are cheap for the first week in March 2022. Also where to rent a small enduro bike with a 21 inch front wheel for a couple of weeks touring? (Last rental of crashed CRF250L with M 2 R whose office was under a tree was a complete disaster.)

Out = Away from Morocco
Government meets tomorrow to discuss borders etc, expect an announcement sometime. I expect the border closure will be extended for another month, the State of Emergency will definitely be extended.
As for opening, who knows exactly, could be tomorrow, next month or whenever. Much depends on the situation both in Morocco and Europe.

Thanks TheWarden, Tim et al for any future insights/reports about the possibility of flying in for some rental riding in southern Morocco in March 2022.

As you can see, Overlander, flights will resume next week so March may look good, depending on Covid regs.
Not surprised to hear M2R ended badly. I only ever used them once, too.
A decent small 21" is hard to find.

Official: maritime traffic suspended until 6 Feb. 23:59
GNV still says, the 5 Feb. Genova->Tanger will be OK. True, it would arrive in Tanger well after the deadline...

Todays official statement gives the government the option to extend the suspension past midnight on the 6th and confirms that ferries remain suspended.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
