On last (road) trip (Dec 2009) I had a similar story to Motoreiter: Office on Ceuta/Moroc border post closed (closed down?). Couldn't be bothered to stop in next town (it was also too late and a Sunday).
It was too early when I left Chefchouan for offices to be open.
Tried one place in Fez and they didn't do it and again couldn't be ar$ed to look further.
Nowhere in Errachidia sells insurance for foreign bikes (although they do for cars....). I spent 3 hours walking around in the rain trying every broker there was.
Eventually made it to Ouazazatte and Peter at Bikershome Offroad Centre sent me to a local AXA office where it was very easy to get bike insurance.
cheers
