Motocycle Oil

Good afternoon ,does anybody know if Oil for a motorcycle is available in Marocco? Thinking of an oil change of a Wr 400 and a little worried about the clutch...

Available everywhere, no problems at all.

There are lots and lots of motorcycles in Morocco. Just look for an engine oil that does NOT have the words 'energy conserving' on the label.

Below is a photo of a jug of oil I purchased in small-town Morocco to use when I changed the oil on my Honda ST 1100.
The same shop also had an oil filter for my ST 1100 in stock (seems it is the same size that is used on some small cars).

Cars have dry clutches, most chain drive motorcycles wet. Car oil saves energy using additives like Teflon, but these would make a wet clutch slip.

Last year my girlfriend and I made a motorcycle trip through Morocco, and she had a lot of oil leaking from around the oil filter cap. We had zero issues finding new oil around Morocco. In the end we fixed the issue in Merzouga,

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
