Shipping Bike out of Morocco
Is there anyone that offers transport of bikes back from Morocco back to either Spain or the UK?
I had an accident in Morocco that meant I had to be repatriated back to the UK and unfortunately won’t be able to get back to riding until after the TIP has expired. So need to get it out of the country somehow because the import charges are extortionate!

You can leave the 'bike with the Douanes, the Customs. They give you a receipt, keep the vehicle in storage until you return to reclaim it , charging you a daily storage charge (~20DH per day for a bike).
You don't have to be at a port or border. Any large city should have a Douanes office.
(That based on my experience a couple of years ago. )
I don't know if they insist on a good reason for leaving the vehicle but, if so, injury or illness should do you'd think.
You could try an online enquiry on the official website - if your French is up to it!

Not aware of anyone specifically but you could try Bikers Home or wilderness wheels in Ouarazazate and see if they know someone who could help.
Or you could get someone to fly out and ride it back for you?

Where is the bike? Is it damaged? When did you enter Morocco with the bike?

Firstly, thanks for all the replies.
The bike is currently being stored at a friends in Rabat and yeah unfortunately it is damaged, I haven't seen it but from what I'm told it's a couple of bent and broken levers. Otherwise, I came into Morocco in November and have looked at the TIP which stays it runs out in May sometime

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
