All booked up
Well, I've made use of the 10% discount from the bike show and booked my ferry to Santander on 19th April 2015 with a return on 18th May (same year).
I am hoping to cross to Tangier Med early on 21st and spend my first night at Chefchaouen. Then through the Rif and an eastern route down to Erg Chebbi, along the southern border and through the Anti Atlas for a day by the sea at Sidi Ifni. Back then along the spine of the Atlases touching all the favourites and a few ideas of my own. Certainly looking forward to it!
Althoguh I want to do it mainly by myself, if there is anyone out there who may be around and might be on a similar itenary? It would be great to spend a day or two with a fellow overlander(s). Let me know if you are in the area!
Also, I have booked a double cabin for the sea crossing. If any of your dates coincide with a trip you want to do, let me know, the top bunk is free for a reasonable fee!
cheers Dave

Sounds like you'll have a blast! I'll be in Morocco slightly earlier then you, leaving for Santander on the 3rd of April and returning from Bilbao on the 23rd of April, so I guess I'll be heading home just as your journey begins unfortunately.......I'll probably pass you on the Strait of Gibraltar or somewhere on a Spanish motorway

Hi there, looks like we will be doing a trip similar to your self. There will be 4 of us in 2 LR's and trailer. Sail on the 18th and planning to get the ferry on 21st over the straights. Still to plan the finer details. Plan is to head south through Azrou overnight camp south of there. Continue down to Erg Chebbi and head west, taking in some of the routes from Chris Scotts book. Just generally wandering to the coast then heading up to Marrakesh.
Does anyone have any advise what to include in the plan. We have around 2 weeks actually in Morocco dont want to spend too long driving but similarly want to get as much in without cramming too much (did a Outer Hebrides trip last ear which involved too much in the car driving between places, have learned lesson) Any way let me know if you want to meet up along the route I am sure we can have a or 2 talking over a fire!
That 10% discount sounds good is it something that can be applied retrospectively

Morocco is enormous compared with the Outer Hebrides. Try some via Michelin route plans.
