Tangier Border Crossing?
We have come up short trying to find information about opening hours and processing time at the Tangier border crossing and are hoping that someone here could give us some useful input.
We will arrive on motorcycles by the Tarifa to Tangier ferry. We are not exactly certain on which day or at what time we will arrive, but somewhere between Friday Jan 13 or Sunday Jan 15 2012. Our best guess is that we would dock at the Tangier port at 19:00 on Saturday January 14 2012...
What are the opening hours for crossing the border, both weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays... and are there any Moroccan hollidays during this period??? The latest ferry arrives at 22:00 hours - does this mean that one would be able to cross by motorcycle this same evening???
How much time should we estimate that the crossing would take on the various days or time of day.
Any and all input will be appreciated.

The "border" is about half way across from Tarifa/Algeciras. Once you arrive at Tangier, you are in Morocco. The passport formalities are done on the ship. Customs is when you leave the ship. If you get on a ferry that sort of implies that Morocco is "open"!

Replace the words "border" with "customs" and then you get what we are wondering about.
Riding off that ferry, what should we expect?
Will customs be open whenever the ferry docks? Obviously it should, but I suppose it doesn't hurt to try and figure that out before we're off the boat.
We'd just like to get whatever documents that need stamping stamped and then get out of Tangier as quick as possible.
