TKC80 in Morocco?
Hi there
I'm afraid with the ride to Italy my new TKC80 on my BM 12GS won't survive four weeks of driving in Morocco.
Are TKC80 available in Morocco somewhere? Any workshops that can change it without ruining the rim?
Thanks for any hints!
Wolfgang

it may be best to fit a new set in the south of spain, before you cross over into Morocco

I have to start with a new set of TKC80 here in Switzerland. Then I drive to Italy where I take the ferry to Tanger.
Thanks again for hints - Wolfgang

Hi
Last feb 2009 we rode to Morocco, on R1100gs with TKCs. We done about 5000miles there and back with lots of off road. they needed changing soon after we got back but lasted the four weeks.
We did look for some new ones on the way back in Morocco with out luck. I was glad I didn't buy any there as the motorway through europe would have worn them lots.

Peter from the bikershome might have off-road tires for you.

..Or just keep something like Tourances on and carry the TKCs till you get to maybe Bikershome. Change the tyres there and leave the Tourances till you get back to Bikershome and swap them again. That way your TKCs will last for another trip.

Grrr... Got my bike yesterday from the garage - with the new TKC80. If I had known about Bikershome this would have been the best solution. But next time.....
Thanks for your input!
