Tourism Visa

Hi guys,

Im in the middle of RTW now and its second time a Moroccan consulate refused even to take my documents for tourism visa due to covid. Anyone faced this kind of problem? Any advice?
A person in the consulate said they can open a business visa but I need a letter of invitation from a company, which I have no idea how to get...

Are you coming from Mauritania and double vaxed?
Then last I heard (quite a while ago, tbh) that border was closed to tourists.

If you are in Europe it may be too soon to set off on an RTW starting in North Africa. Loads of visas needed on that western route, some of which may also prove as troublesome.

Don't know about Mk business visas. Worth asking a visa agency.
I know for places like Russia, a 'business visa' is an easy dodge to get longer duration/multiple entry. No 'business' involved, just €€€.

I'm coming from eastern Europe (Ukraine). Wanted to get into Morocco by ferry from an open port in France or Italy. I could skip Morocco on my way to S.America, but the trip is related to the research i'm doing and Morocco is a crucial part of it. For business visa in morocco I just need an apostiled invitation from any organization there. I think its pretty much same loophole in Russia.

I totally agree its a bit early to set off, but I'm restricted in time and its now or never i'm afraid.

I'm double-vaxxed, but it did not impress the consulate when I mentioned it (:

Maybe a Morocco-based bike tour operator could help with an invite (without having to join a tour)?
Try Greg at https://www.wheelsofmorocco.net/about-us/
He is from Eastern Europe afaik so you probably know him ;-)
WoM must have clients who are not on the visa-on-arrival list, like most Europeans.

If you are able and planning to carry on across Africa, you could get quite bogged down with visas.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
