Travel Insurance for an atlantic trip
Hi all.
I will be setting off soon following the atlantic route to Mali for a documentary. Im looking at getting travel insurance and would like to know if anyone would recommend a particular company. Most travel insurance covers the world but i dont think they quite have a trip like this in mind when they say world.... or do they?
I would need the basic personal items covered, all comera equip is covered anyway and obviously the emergancy cover should anything serious happen.
I think what im asking is, would basic holiday insurance cover something like this, and if not are there any specialist companies that would offer it
Thanks in advance, i'll post how i get on with quotes etc

You do not say what mode of transport you are using, this will make a big difference, most travel insurance does not cover for riding motorcycles over 125 cc, if you are riding bigger make sure you tell them.

I have used Ensleigh who offer a wide range of policies including cover for riding big bikes which is what I am usually after, as you are in a 4x4 you probably have a bigger choice but do give them full details of what you have planned to ensure you are covered.
