Tyre slashed in Agadir
Hi All
I stayed at the Hotel La Petite Suede in Agadir for two nights. They have reasonably safe off-street parking in front of the hotel, but when I arrived at my bike this morning my front tyre had been slashed right through to the tube and my cover was torn quite severely. I strongly suspect that it was done by one of the staff......a nasty little man who seems to dislike westerners. I checked out immediately and moved to a more expensive hotel a block away. I think it best to avoid this hotel completely
My front tyre and tube is now useless. I have a spare tube but am badly in need of a 21 inch front tyre.....any suggestions will be much appreciated
Cheers for now
Neville

Thanks for the tip oothef. I managed to buy a used tyre, but the motorbike was so wobbly that I decided to look for a new one. Found a Michelin and had it fitted today......she runs like a dream again . Sold the used tyre back to the shop I bought it from, but only got 40% of my money back.....better than nothing, I wasn't expecting to get anything back
I also had my cover stitched back together again and found secure parking for the next month while I'm in Agadir. So all-in-all I'm a happy camper again
Cheers
Neville

Good to know you fixed the problem.
As for what I wish to that bastard.... better not to write it, or I might be banned!

Glad you're up and running again, any damage to your bike is a sod, but considering what's happening elsewhere, in Morocco, and the rest of the world, it's a small irritation. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Bad experience with JOUATOURS
We love Morocco having been twice although had a bad experience with JOUATOURS.
Didnt get correct bikes given poor replacements, told had no insurance once arrived and felt quite intimidated and when the badly maintained bikes broke down twice were basically given no help and treated quite agressively having to sort it out ourselves and with no partial refund or even apology for time lost etc.
Shame because most people in the country are fantastic and previous trip from Marrakesh was a experience all round.
Be very explicit with your questions and queries before you book and then prepare to not get quite what you expected.
But great biking country, do it and have a fantastic time !
Cheers
Geoff

Newbie, sorry where did you get the new set of tyres from at all? I'm in Morocco now, in bad need of a new set for a DL650...
Cheers!
