Using One-Way Ferry Tickets
I will be crossing to Maroc in late Sept and will be coming back about a month later using a still valid return leg ticket that I did not use earlier this year.
I will therefore be buying a one way only ticket from Carlos for the initial crossing.
To my logical mind this should all work OK BUT, my 'Black Side',illogical travellers mind tells me to ask those who may know more,if there are likely to be any problems with this!
Any comments/advice welcome

Sounds straight forward. Buy a ticket for the route and get on the ferry.
If your other ticket/s for a journey are within their validity time and for the correct route with the correct carrier then what can go wrong ??
I can't see a problem.

any traveller continuing south beyond Marocco would only buy a single ticket so I doubt whether the ticket sellers are going to worry about it. If queried about how you are going to leave Morocco at the end of your stay, you have the return ticket to show them.

Port fixers and their ilk are like flies - just swat at them a few times and they will go away. They are a pest all throughout Morocco any time it appears they might be able to charge you 20 Shekels for something that would be free anywhere else. Even the ferry agents' offices on the Morocco side are infested with would-be helpers who block the doorways and try and insist that they are the only ones able to deal with the staff behind the counter 2 metres away.
Procedure at either end of the ferry is straightforward - more so on the northern end of course - because of the huge number of Europeans who cross with their vehicles every winter, or would be if it weren't for the fixers swarming around pretending to be officials.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
