THAILAND HAS ALASKA MOTORCYCLE NIGHT February 16, 2011 in Chiang Mai
The newly opened motorcycle themed Rider's Corner Bar, Restaurant and Hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand, has announced:
"ALASKA MOTORCYCLE NIGHT IN THAILAND" for February 16, 2011. HU Travellers and serious motorcycle riders in the Golden Triangle have recently made the Rider's Corner a motorcycle meeting point in Chiang Mai.
Famed Golden Triangle motorcycle driver and global adventurer Dr. Gregory W. Frazier has accepted an invitation to bring Alaska to Chiang Mai on February 16, 2011. To do so he has incorporated an antique film depicting the first motorcycle ride from Alaska to the "Lower 48", done by Slim Williams and John Logan in 1939, with a modern multi-media show reflecting what motorcycling to and in Alaska is like today. Frazier, well-known moto-journalist and the author of the best selling book and complementary DVD, ALASKA BY MOTORCYCLE, has been to Alaska 27 times and ridden the Dalton Highway to Deadhorse/Prudhoe Bay 10 times.
This is a one-time only presentation to welcome HU memebers and other serious motorcycle travellers to Chiang Mai's traveller friendly meeting spot and share in a night of Alaska motorcycling since it began.
The evening of ALASKA MOTORCYCLE NIGHT IN THAILAND will start at 6:30 PM with a Thai BBQ, for 200 THB. The multi-media show is free, but reservations are required because space is limited. For directions and contact information for making your reservation visit the Rider's Corner
