World Touring Network - Japan Camp Meeting
If anyone is in Japan the weekend of April 14-15, the World Touring Network - Japan will be having a camp meeting this in Sagamihara, Kanagawa (about an hour from central Tokyo). Nothing really special going on event-wise, just an opportunity for traveling riders to get together and swap lies.
Details here in Japanese at the WTN-J website:

Map to Aonohara Auto Campsite:

Fell free to e-mail me if you need more details in English. I will most likely be there.

Andy, I can tell you that there are custom shops in Tokyo.
I just can't give any specifics. "custom" also covers a wide range of tastes. Custom Harleys would be most common. However, many shops customize many types of bikes.
If you are moving to Tokyo, start looking around after you get settled in.
If you have a short time only, the bike street in Ueno would be a good place to start. Or have your wife search the Internet with you.
Sorry I can't be of much help. But Tokyo has about any kind of motorcyle shop you need if you look hard enough.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
