Another which GPS question.???

We are writing this from the USA. Currently looking for a GPS to do the following.

World maps mainly good city maps. We rarely go to far off the beaten track but we like roads less travelled.

Wired or Blue Toothed to Intercom facility.

Need to hear the dulcet tones of Garmin Girl. Current intercom is a rider/pillion Autocom purchased 2008 with no Bluetooth. A Bluetooth dongle is available from Autocom, however.

Is there a GPS (Garmin) with an audio output jack other than the Zumo 550 and Zumo 660?

Do the Tom Tom and Magellan brands offer an audio output jack and are their maps as good?

A wired GPS to the Autocom is our preferred way to go but we think Bluetooth maybe our only option.

How hard would it be to fit an audio jack to a Nuvi?

"GPS Carol" is not retiring, just trying to make her life a little easier

Thankyou, Ken and Carol

Another which GPS??

Just checked them out and they look good with plus and minuses but the audio jack is a huge plus. Checked a Comparision Chart with GPSCity and they did not have the 765T listed. Spent and hour checking what they had listed to ascertain if any had the audio jack but came up with zero. Looks like this one is a discontinued unit but this is not a problem.

Many thanks... K & C

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
