Buying a GPS in the US or in Europe?
As for many other things, it seems that buying a GPS is so much cheaper in the US than in Europe.
Now, it usually also says "for US only". Does it only mean that whatever is downloaded or the software that comes along are for North America only? So provided I either a) get the maps for whatever place I want to get lost in, or b) I'm interested only in the positioning, I should be fine, no?
So other than taking the risk of:
- warranty problems
- the stupid 110V and plugs (hello George, switch it to 220 would you!)
- customs officers' fit
- er, can't think of anything else really...
am I missing anything?
Thanks for the tech advice!
