Hi Kevin
Your post is not specific so this may be wide of the mark but if you are having repeated trouble with Mapsource on the PC (not the GPS unit), have you tried completely uninstalling it before you reinstall, not just re-installing?

Usually if MapSource tells error message on startup and closes then the problem most likely is that in system registry there are some references to maps that are not accessible any more, either you have moved, renamed or deleted the folder or there is some other fault.
Uninstall MapSource, then with registry editor program (from Start button choose Run and type regedit) delete the following registry keys (including all subkeys):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Garmin\Mapsource
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Garmin\MapSource
If you have not used regedit before be careful not to delete something else.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
