Hi,
yes, I know this Laos and Vietnam routable Garmin Map. But this maps is very inaccurate. Rivers are hundrets of meters off position, roads are there where no roads are .... you must test a map or analyze with special tools, then you will see.

Hi,
the web-address for the Vietnam Topographic Roadmap has changed:
WILDGOOSE GPS and Navigation Service | Vietnam GARMIN Maps | GIS Vietnam
And its still the best and most accurate map available. There is no cheap built in source ... only self rectified data with highest accuracy.

This might seem a bit old fashioned but there is a very good road atlas available in Viet Nam. Shows paths that are too small and rough to take even a bike up. This is available for 150,000 VND and along with a compass is all you need.. The fact that they decided to swap the town names around on the ground and haven't yet done it on the maps just adds to the fun of trying to find your way!

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
