I don't use a GPS. For this reason none of my posts will include coordinates. Sometimes they have been declared useful nonetheless.
I understand that those who do use GPS's find them very handy, and some of these users like to have coordinates for everything. However, when following such people around I've found GPS's less and less useful the further one gets from old European cities. Maybe that's just me, but this might explain some of what you're noticing.
I'm sure that coordinates would be very helpful to lots of riders. I'd suggest only that posters going to the trouble of including GPS coordinates with their posts also include street addresses for the likes of me. A listing of campgrounds or repair shops with their coordinates is of no use to me in the absence of a street address of some sort; if listed with an address but no coordinates even the technologically-adept GPS user will be able to find it. Or so I guess, being prone to fits of optimism.
