Hey Mark, hey strimstrum,
yes we have met last year at hu meeting in italy - nice to hear of you.
I am also sometimes "old fashioned" - and if i see something interesting, it doesn`t matter to me what my gps said. But whenever you have driven into a big town, or looking for a hotel in a busy town or it was "a little bit hot" your are very lucky to have a coordinate on your gps. in marocco, iran or india i cant read sometimes the signs - so it was very useful to have a gps with me - also in the desert. And also if you have "only" a waypoint - you just look into google earth - and it will show you the exact point - with the adress. Also the way around is working, you have an adress, you put it into google earth or google map and he will show you the coordinate. Also in Japan or China - there are a lot of people that doesn`t understand you, they can not help you to find an adress - you will be very, very glad to have a gps and a point.
But everybody should do whatever he wants to do. It is just very helpful for that drivers who use a gps.
With best regards
Henning
