You may get stuck at the Mh end, but I guess you know that.

Some great Mk 2CV pix here: Radio Baobab » MAR 2008/2009 (carpics)

Hello Tim,

there is an german guy, Uwe Schmitz, who is every year in the Sahara with his 2 CV.

Have a look, some pages in german about Uwe and his 2 CV, but many pictures:

TBH, first time in a 2WD I would try something else. Even before the sands your car will get a hammering east of Sidi Whatsit.

The link is not my website, but it looks like winter to me!

From running the cursor over the pics, they were taken the end of December 2008.

Those must be my pics then... :-)

2 weeks marocco tour during christmas/newyear a few weeks ago. Did this tour: Ceuta, Chefchaouen, Fez, Midelt, Merzouga (erg chebbi), piste direction Zagora but had to backtrack because of mud, Tinerhir, Gorge du Todra, Imilchil, Meknes, Chefchaouen

Foum Zguid - M'hamid: I did it in a 4WD a few years ago. Never did it in the 2cv though. From what I remember from the piste it should be possible but you will get a hammering and probably struggle a bit in the sandy parts. Consider fitting a bashplate under the engine/sump/gearbox

2WD and pistes... always think twice ofcourse and seek local advice...

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
