Size and profile are fine.
I recommand to run them tubeless!
Some people say that MT are better and even others say that only Michelin XS style tyres are ok - in mho they all work in the desert and west africa. For muddy tracks in the rain season you would prefer MT's.
The advantage of 265/75R16 is that they have about the same rolling radius as 235/85R16 and 7.50R16 and a higher load capacity.
You could fine tune the rolling radius with the tyre preassure.
Mixing 7.50R16 and 265/75R16 will look strange but should do no harm to your diffs.
Are your rims wide enough for the 265/75R16?
A minimum of 7" is eguired.
