Algeciras to Morocco ferry crossing

Hi

I have been doing some research & found some info on the forum & Tim's excellent Morocco GS knowledgebase but can anyone tell me the best crossing from Algeciras to Morocco. I was looking at Ceuta & found one for 145 euros return for bike & 1 passenger is that the best deal or is it cheaper on another route. We will be looking to cross on Saturday 4th October returning on or around the 17th.
Thanks in advance

I travelled Algeciras - Tangier and returned Ceuta -Algeciras earlier this year. I bought my tickets at the terminals and paid less than 20 euros each way for motorbike and passenger.I think it was a deal where you paid for the bike and the passenger was free.Very substantially less than you've been quoted so worth doing a bit more research I think. Ramadan ends on the 30th of September so it's possible that you've chosen 'high season' with lots of Moroccans travelling home for the Eid festivities.Good luck, John.

Waht Are The 2009 Ferry Prices Like

Last April (2008) I crossed for 80 Euros having bought the ticket by the booth behind Carrefours as suggested by Tim. Anyone know whether the prices for 2009 are similar, gone up, gone down? Thanks. I am off on the 4/4

Algeciras to cueta crossing March 09

OK , I've just returned using this crossing twice, both times I bought the ticket easily (with plastic too) in the ports....cost 119 euros each way. I was in a 2cv van in March 2009. It was hassle free, and easy.
Its quick by fastcat, 35 mins, virtually empty and they run hourly.

I used FRS from Tarifa to Tanger - I think it was around €110 return for bike and rider last summer (July 08) - very straight forward, just turn up at the port and buy a ticket... 35 minute sea-cat crossing.
