Anyone crossing Sudan, Egypt to Ethiopia in August
If anyone is travelling south from Egypt across Sudan to Ethiopia in the first week or so of August this year and would like to travel together (safety in number, perhaps), please could you get in touch? We're not planning a very long trip across Sudan as we want more time in Ethiopia, if possible. Our plan is to cross from Egypt into Sudan at Wadi Halfa and into Ethiopia at Metema. Ideally, we'd like to follow the Nile route down to Khartoum as well as see the Pyramids at Meroe.
Thanks
Bel

Lucky Guys!!!
Hi there
Enjoy to cross Sudan and spend a lot of time following the nile River. We drive this road few years ago and we realy enjoy a beautiful landscape and meet very friendly people!!!!! Dont take the road allong the train, dusty and boring but spend few days allong the Nile!!!!!! and don't forget to stop at the Meroe pyramids. Quite nice to be alone in something like this!!!!!

Northern Sudan is wonderful. My wife and I got engaged at Meroe!
I've not written up a trip report, but here're my photos.
Have fun, it'll be warm in August!
Nick.

I might just be doing that. Are you on your way further South or going back north?

How was it?
We are planning a trip from Cape Town to Cape North in Norway but don't know exactly what to do from Ethiopia to Cairo. Do you have any tips? We are thinking about putting our Toyota on a ship from Port Sudan to Jordania. What do you think about it?

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
