Camoflage goretex army trousers - bad idea in Morocco?
I normally use goretex army trousers (green/black camo) as waterproof bottoms the thought occurred this may get me into trouble in Morocco? Will it? the problem I have is I leave on Thursday so don't really have time to buy anymore. In Morocco it's unlikely I would need them due to the weather (i hope) and I was thinking of turning them inside out at the boarder where by the sounds of it they check everything in everyone's bags so they will be checking them...

No problem.
No fashion police in Morocco.

No worries.
You'll probably not need to wear them much anyway!

Conventional wisdom says don't wear anything which might be taken for military in Africa....but I saw lots of camo (and other military-styled) clothing on locals in Morocco. I'd hesitate to go further south wearing anything like this, but maybe that's just me.
Hope that helps.

I would imagine wearing temperate climate combats (green/black) in a desert area like Morocco won't be too much of a problem. If you've got full desert issue (sand/tan) and a shemagh then maybe I'd worry more. Normally it's the AK47 that gives the game away!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
