insurance morocco, mauri & mali
I have been told by my uk insurer that they will not extend the green card for morocco. with this being the case where can i obtain insurance for moroc, is this possible on entering from the ferry at tangiers?
also where can i get insurance for mauritania and mali, is this easilly obtained, after border crossings
any advise would be great.
To clarify other points, can i obtain visa for mauritania at the border with w/s and a visa for mali in mauritania in nkt.
Many thanks for all advise given, hope to catch up with some of you on the road.

Yes to Tanger insurance. The office is just after the checkpoint, so you need to leave the bike and walk 100m or so. But... it's only third party.

Hi,
In Mauritania, insurance is only possible in NDB, unless previous arrangement with a travel agency is made (they can send a person to meet you at the border and make you the insurance there). I would get it in NDB only if I intended to go there. Nobody will ask you for the insurance and if they do the "fine" may be cheaper than the insurance itself...Of course in case an accident occurs, you may be in trouble if you have no green card. In Mali, insurance can be obtained in the major cities, but not at the borders that I've crossed.
