I took some video on my RIM trip of '02 and have finally managed to get some on the net. I'm not too happy with the quality (both camera work and that I had to compress it to 6MB), but if you are interested in remembering or seeing the conditions on the Spanish road, Atlantic Route, between RIM & Maroc, it could be worth your time. 6MB

This is in 'no man's land' between the Mauritanian and Moroccan borders. You
can hear the video sound clipping each time we hit a bump. It's
good to be reminded how much of a pleasure sand is to drive on:-)
On the old road surface any faster would have caused too
many punctures, we were hitting the suspension bump-stops a lot and my wife got a sore eye from the video camera at
the end of the clip! This was on a Thursday, late morning, my boys had to be
in school on the following Monday, so we had to drive fast to get them back to the UK on a Sunday flight from
Malaga.
NB We did from NDB to just before Laayoune on this very very long and fast day, without a complaint from the kids - maybe that's the best way to see Western Sahara ;-)
I also have clips of the Banc d'Arguin, the beach piste, and the Choum-NDB run if anyone is interested.
Regards,
Ian
