Mauri visa / 3 day Transit / 30 day Extension / multi entry ?

Hi all

Finding this somewhat confusing! Planning on buying 3 day transit visa at W.S./Mauri border (for variety of reasons havn't the time to detour to Rabat!).
Plan is to ride through Mauri stopping off at Nouakchott for a couple of days. Had planned to get a 30 day visa extension whilst there.

(Question 1: Anybody know where I'd need to go in Nouakchott for this? GPS coordinates would be a bonus!).

Then down into Senegal and Gambia for around three weeks or so. As I'll be returning north through Mauri, I assume I'd need to be applying for a Multi entry Visa in Nouakchott? Yes/No?

Question 2: is is possible to obtain an extension to the 30 day Visa, should my 30 days expire before I finally exit Mauri into the W.S on the return leg?

There must be a simple answer this .... just can't figure it out!

M.

Double entry visa for Mauretania

We got our visa in Rabat, 24 hrs. Fill out form on the day, pick up the day after at 15.00. Puts you back 400 Dh for a double entry, you need copy of PP and 2 pics. Valid 3 months.

No idea about the boarder system, nor in NDH or NKT.

Good luck

You can also get the extension done in the police station at Nouadibou, did ours a few days ago on the way south.

Hi Patrick,

Do you have the coordinates for the police station at Nouadhibou?

If not, do you remember more or less the location?

Thanks!

Cheers,
José

Hi we stayed at the camping site directly opposite the police station so the co-ords are for the campsite not the police station, but you can't really miss it. N20 54.942 W17 02.991 called Camping Baer du levrier.

Hope those are right.

Campsite owner is pretty cool and free wifi, so if you are stopiing over poss stay there.

Hope that helps cheers
