Mauritanian consulate in London?

Have tried google but ended up in circles. Does anyone know if there is now a consulate in London? If so, where? And is it possible to obtain a visa there?

Thanks.

There is. It is in Vauxhall.

But, allegedly, they are not able to issue visas (according to Travcour).

I am certain somebody posted on the Hubb a while back saying they did get it in London. But not sure if that was via the French embassy?

This is a paste from a post that ESSIEN made a few months ago.

He reckons you can get a Mauritania visa in London through a website the French embassy have outsourced their visa system to:

"Yeah - rather confusingly they are now done through the private company which the French consulate has outsourced it's visa processing to - TLS contact. What you do is sign up to their website https://www.tlscontact.com/gb2fr/login.php and submit an application request filling in a lot of incorrect information as the form is designed for out of EU people applying for French visas so it wont let you sign up with nationality UK, then you phone them up and give them the correct details and they edit it, then you make an appointment to go get the visa. The bitch is that you have to go to London, cant be done by post. But otherwise seems fairly simple".

Mauritanian consulate in London?

Address of the Mauritanian embassy in London.
235-237 Vauxhall Bridge Road,
Victoria, London,
SW1V 1EJ,
Telephone: 020 7233 6158.

We plan on riding down to Nigeria in November, A member of my riding group living in London spoke to them and they said it should only take max three days. Cost is £83 and you fill in the form when you get there with your photos and proof of transport/accommodation. I told them you are not flying and they said it should be okay but I guess you can show them your ferry crossing to show you are really doing overland.

Hi Tunde,

We lodged our visa application in London for Mauritania last week.

After 4 days, they said they were waiting on authorisation from Nouakchott, and could not confirm when this would come.

So we took our passports back and have sent them to Brussels.

Hi David

Were you able to get your Mauritania visa in Brussels?

How much did it cost?

Have you got the Mauritania Brussels address?

Is there a form online I can fill out before handing in my passport?

Did you need to hand in documentation to proof you were going be land i.e Ferry booking,

Hotel Accommodation, flight ticket.

Since I live in Köln Germany, Brussels is only 1:30hour away, rather than riding to London.

alternatively , you can simply have it done in Madrid , on your way south. Its done on the same day -and I think It was around 50 euros - (not much dearer than in Rabat ) . ..

Madrid? This would be very useful. I wonder if it works for non Spanish nationals? Knowing how peculiar are the rules at consulates/embassies it wouldn't surprise me if not!

Sorry Tunde, I missed this.

Mauri via in Brussels, took 3 days to turn around, including another 4 to and from London via post.

3 months multi entry.

Not cheap, think it was nearly 100 pounds.

Just to update:
I eventually got my Mauritanian visa in Brussels, took 5 days and cost me €93 valid for 3 months, was pretty straight forward as compared to the Mauritanian embassy in London where they ask for all sorts of things
