The sahara overland website has up to date info on fuel prices and exchange rates, currently:

Morocco £1=15dh (£1 is about 1.4Euro)
7.12 dh diesel 10.4 dh petrol
Western sahara diesel = 4.12dh

Mauritania
306oogs (UM)= 1Euro
petrol 212 UM/Litre Diesel 188UM/Litre
There is also info there on latest weather conditions.

I am going on the 1st April, coming back end of April so may pass you on the way back!

Olá Christian

My son and I will be going to Morocco this coming weekend.

We could meet up in the South and do a few pistes together, as we will be on or own, we hope to find some folks to join for the desert bits, just for safety.

When are you leaving?

Cheers,

Pieter

Hi!

We're leaving April 22, but we'll be reaching Merzouga only in the 25th.

We're easy to spot....a portuguese large LandRover Group

I could not reply - GPRS did not work on the way to Spain, sorry about it.
Been told by friends (they left week before us) that they met some group from Poland, who asked about me. Possible it was you?

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
