New digital map of Morocco
It may be old news but I've just noticed that RK-H's 2007 Morocco map at a useful 1:1m scale is available as a pre-calibrated digital download.
Seeing as Mk travels benefit from the latest map and not old IGN/TPCs it could be handy for laptop navigators.

I recommend this map for all. I compare pistes and roads with my GSP track, and all is correct. I very like Know-How maps. Especialy Mongolia and Albania are very good. Better map is only sovjet military.

Chris,
The RK-H maps seem to be very useful and I was even hoping to order a map of Egypt. Trouble is RK-H seem to be stuck in some kind of e-business time warp, insisting on payment by cash or bank transfer before sending the map file by email as an attachment (sic!).
Update:
After sending them an email to ask if they could do better than that, I was offered an option to pay by paypal. Result!

I used previous edition of their paper Morocco map and it is only average (for smaller roads).
But about pricing of their digital maps -- €15 vs paper maps at € 9? This is actually a joke, considering that manufacturer is selling directly, without having distributors and shops taking their big cut plus without printing and transport costs. This is just stupid. Since this digital stuff costs much less to produce and distribute, and considering manufacturer is selling directly to you, it must be cheaper, not more expensive. If manufacturer gets say €5 for their paper maps, they could actually sell the digital equivalent for €9 directly and make twice that much money.

Reb: You are right of course. They have a digi image even before they print a paper version but I think they sell digi high to compensate for the inevitable copying and passing around.
Rom: Well done for getting the paypal going. The bank trans put me off too.

Sure, but on the other hand -- the more expensive it is to buy, the more illegal copying. If it was cheap and accessible, many more would buy instead of stealing.
The same with digital music, software and all other similar stuff. Coding Horror: The Sad State of Digital Software Distribution has quite good summary of the general problem.

Right again - they can't win!
I dont know yet if RK-H Mk is the best map but it's a pretty up-to-date digi map which makes it easy to very accurately add on your corrections/PoIs. I mentionned it here because there is a lot of Mk chat.
