New GPS rules Morocco
I sent the old form to Morocco and got the answer that "The import of a single GPS receiver for own use is free, provided that you fill up and sign the form joined in annex and then give it to customs services"
So, there is no need to fax them any longer, just fill out the form and hand it over to customs.
someone please host the form. Send me a mail and I will mail it to you(700kb .jpg). Be quick though, I'll be leaving for Morocco on monday.

Never had a problem, or filled in any GPS paperwork for Maroc, even with a dash full of them. Even had a conversation with the Douane once about GPS and he never indicated I had any paperwork to fill in.
I'd be tempted not to ask, just do it if told...
Nick.

I agree completely with NickT - it's not necessary.
But I always was lazy!

I haven't received it and didn't get an answer to my email, so I guess Poul has departed and his email has hit the bit bucket.

You can download this form called "annexe 3" on the website of the ANRT (L'Agence Nationale de Réglementation des Télécommunications):
http://www.anrt.net.ma/
fil in "gps" under "recherche sur le site" and you'll find the regulations and the form.
(found on www.sahariens.info)

I just resent the form, but when arriving in Agadir, the police at the airport didn't know what to do with the form, so they just took it. I didn't get any approval, stamp or receipt but was, on the other hand, never asked for it. Not at the roadstops or when leaving at Ceuta.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
