Niger Embassies

Does anyone know where in N Africa you can get a Nigerien visa? Is there an embassy in Tripoli or Tunis, or is it best to get it in Europe? If so, where in Europe is best?

Thanks in advance,

ZB

Hello
You can arrange a Niger visa on the border. I just come back from Burkina Faso, and when i was on Benin-Niger it was possible. Cost of visa is 20000cfa and it's valid for 1 month. Good luck

Though I have never tried myself, I have heard it is possible in Tripoli.

Hi,

It is possible to get a visa in Tripoli - though it took a full 24hrs to do it.
The embassy is hard to find, sorry gps wasn't working so no points.

Niger is part of the ECOWAS group of countries, so you can get a visa from any of the participating countries ( Togo , Burkina Faso , Cote d'Ivoire etc ).
We got ours in Bamako (Mali) at the Cote d'Ivoire embassy , but be advised that some of these embassies will only issue a multiple-entry visa at considerable expense ( 60,000 CFA ) and will not issue the 'Entente Touristique' cheap visa that they are permitted to. We found this out to our cost.
Also note that it took 4 days to process , although this varies from embassy to embassy.

Slightly off track but I got a Visa Touristique Entente in Ghana, at the Togo embassy with no problems at all. They did it on the spot, taking all of 15 minutes.

Maybe you'll get lucky - make sure you ask for the Visa Touristique Entente, if that's what you're after.

There was a Niger consulate in Tam when I was there in 02. Recall that the visa was issued on the spot or at most at within a day or so.

Also there was a Niger consulate in Rabat in early 01. Got the visa in 10 minutes.
