Problems downloading Morocco Road maps onto GPS unit
I have finally got mapsource installed and have installed the Maroc road map from GPS Vector Map Morocco via the exe file.
I can start mapsource and it shown a map of Morocco on the right however nothing appears under the tabs on the left - e.g. maps, routes, waypoints.
The option to save the map to my GPS unit is greyed out because there is nothing to upload.
Any ideas - I have checked the registry entries and they all appear correct to where I have installed the data
e.g. bmap F:\Documents and Settings\Bob\My Documents\Downloads\Morocco Mapsource Files\Maroc Road\3567.img
loc F:\Documents and Settings\Bob\My Documents\Downloads\Morocco Mapsource Files\Maroc Road\
TDB F:\Documents and Settings\Bob\My Documents\Downloads\Morocco Mapsource Files\Maroc Road\3567.tdb
But is appears I am missing any of the tiles - unless I am not using mapsource correctly?
any help greatly appreciated
Ian

Zoom out so you can see all of Morocco, then use the map tool (Tool, Map) to select all the maps. The relevant tiles should turn pink, and under the maps tab you should have some 174 maps selected.
I suggest you only use the street maps and therefore remove the topo overlays from the list. The easy way to do this is to click on the size column of the listed maps, then use click and shift-click to remove selections of these. You should now have some 86 maps which you can download to your unit.

Hi Tim,
Yes it was the use of the map tool i was missing - that then loads the maps into the 'Map' tab so you can download to the GPS.
Good job the roads are available seperately my Etrex Lenegd has 8mb internal memory so the roads will fit on (just over 5mb).
Please also see my new post on which GPS maps to use
Cheers
