Rich to Dades/Todra Piste
A group of us are setting off from Scotland next March to explore Southern Morocco and Western Sahara. We'll be using TDi Discoveries and Range Rovers.
Initially, we want to drive from Rich down to either Dades or Todra gorges over the mountain piste.
Does anyone have any experience of this route in March? I don't want our first piste to be a Camel Trophy special (although we are all expreienced off-road drivers).
Any help or information would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,
Around Easter time this year I did a track from Rich to Todra gourge (not sure if it is the same you are thinking of doing).
It was a beautiful drive, well worth it. Some difficult parts, with rocky stretches (check bolts of various steering bits afterwards, we lost the bolts of the steering damper, gave us a bit of a shock when we went faster on tarmac, after the track!), and numerous river crossings (always the same river, the track changes from one side to the other). So it might depend on how much rain there has been, and the snow melting, how difficult that bit will be.

Sounds like a goer then. Guess we'll just have to watch out for the weather.

Hello! We have done it during end of March a couple of years ago with our
bikes: very nice place....fantastic landscape! Rocky somewhere but not so
difficult...you can ask there if the weather is bad I mean after several days
of rain! We have seen several Land Rover over there so...make your trip....
