Is it a good book to have an overview about sahara trip ?
Is informations in this book up to date (border crossing etc...) ?

If you buy the book and print out Chris free updates that are available on the site, your as prepared as you can get.
Other books that I've had use for:
* Sahara Handbook (Glen) - Much outdated, but lot of good travel facts and allround info.
* Algerisches Sahara (Reiseverlag something...). For Algeria, this is the best. But you have to read German.
* Get the latest editions of Lonely Planet as a complement (for travelling in the cities and maps).
* I've also heard positive reviews for Klaus Därrs books, but haven't held anything in my hand. The online material that he put out is very useful at least.

BTW, I'm a contributor to Chris book, you'll have plenty of use for it!
