Do you know if it's possible to drive it in august?
If not, I saw that there is a quite direct track from Nema to Lac Faguibine, then Timbuctù... any suggestions about it?
Thanks
Ag

Same question of Ag. How is it to get to Tombouctou in August ?
I would drive from the south, possibly from Kona-Korienze-Niafounke or from Douentza but I read it could be a bit muddy ...
Thanks,
Mario

Plan to start searching the blogs, but we are intested in the same dets as Ag & MoMix.
We are getting ready to head into Mali with our truck in just a couple of weeks, spending all of August there. With the rainy season upon us - any recent info would be a great help!
thanks much!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
