As you may have read, a Village From Hell, a friendly military base down the road, a nice erg, a well down the escarpment, fast tracks north & south and bumpy tracks east-west. plus a couple of craters N and W.

We're highway down to Djanet, arriving there the 31 October. Then across and up to our crater for about the 3rd Nov. Down to Tamanrasset then across back to Djanet by looping down towards Niger border and up through Erg Admer. Back in Djanet the 11th.
Two Land Rovers and eight 'bikes.
It'll be quick but fun.
What is your where and when?!
Sam.

We'll be very near and very far away!!
Have a good trip. Hopefully you will not find your 'small' group to be as much a problem as you think?!

Sam - are you interested in craters and geology? Back home I was looking at the IGN map "In Azaoua"... If you dont stick to the pistes there is another crater WSW of the Erg Admer at, I would say about N 23° 44' and E 8° 30' some km north of the well (with or without water...) Tiririne.
It is called Tin Ghoras and has some interesting geological formations
PS: I am never worried in the Sahara, only on the highway from Switzerland to the port in Italy and back!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
