WP Gas Station road Nouakchott - Nouadhibou
Hello all!
As anyone the waypoint of the new gas station in the road Nouakchott - Nouadhibou? It seems to be half way of the road, perhaps 200 kms away from Nouakchott.
Thanks!

Hello Luis,
it is easy to find this gas station, exactly halfway, here a pic. I have the waypoints at home on my computer, but not handy now. Send me a PN if you still need it. Here a pic:

Gare du Nord
Gare du Nord is the place! A bad one! High prices.... al thing about 3 euros, except eggs, they are 10 euros. When we pass trough (january 2009) they have only petrol, no diesel.

Thanks!
Thank you all for the info!
It will be very usefull in our trip to Guine-Bissao next June, so we don't need to carry extra fuel. Hope they still have petrol, that's what we need for our bikes :-)
See you somewhere, sometime, on the tracks!
Luis
PS: Next 1-10 May I will be running the Raid de l'Amitié, starting and ending at Marrakesh.

Hi Luis,
There are 3 fuel station between NDB and NKT at:
1) N21.2766170 W-16.5282500
2) N20.0515000 W-15.9212330
3) N20.8115330 W-16.1206000
The fuel station 2) is called "Gare du Nord" and it is the largest. It is located in the small village of Chami.
It has a restaurant and shop associated. It is runned by moroccans so it is build with the same style as fuel stations along the Western Sahara road.
Prices of food and drinks are indeed high. It is better to shop in the small huts around.
For the price of fuel, I don't have any idea, but it should high as well.
Cheers,
José

Jose, Luis
Your locations for fuel stations are out of sequence, coming from north should be:
1) N21.27
2) N20.81
3) N20.05
Query, which one is 'Gare du Nord'?
Thanks,
Peter

N20.0515000 W15.9212330 is Gare du Nord. Have a look on Google Earth and there's a Panoramio photo of Chami where you can just read the name 'Gare du Nord'.
