Well it was a blast. Three months on the road and just over 27000 km across this incredible country - we crossed Canada twice.
Riding 2-up, my wife and I took secondary roads from Toronto to Labrador then west to Dawson City, Alaska (3 times during the trip), then back to Toronto. We only hit certain portions of the Trans-Can twice (no alternatives in parts of Ontario and Newfoundland).
We have a web site and I've begun posting some photos at
http://www.motorcycle-overland.com
The ride, scenery and people were amazing.
Highlights were (in no particular order):
Cabot trail, Gaspe Peninsula, most of Newfoundland (once off the TCH), Hwy 510 in Labrador, eastern & north western Ontario, Alaska Hwy, Top of the World Hwy, Klondike Hwy, Cassiar Hwy, Sea-to-Sky Hwy (#99 in BC), Crowsnest Pass Hwy, Icefields Parkway, Taylor Hwy (Alaska). Prairies were gorgeous - the trick is to take secondary roads close to the US border.
Sucks to be back, but our goal now is to work, save and travel again next summer.
Hope you all had a good and safe summer.
Also...Thanks for the replies and tips prior to our trip. I've put a link to HU on our resources page.
