Bike shop in Anchorage

Can anyone recommend a bike shop in Anchorage? I will need to stock up on a few things before heading North.

Cheers

Alaska Leather is a great shop, they helped and had what I needed in the way of parts and were great people all up

In fact they even list the other bike shops around there on one of their pages

Cheers

I lived in Anchorage for 3 years while stationed there for the Air Force.

Alaska Leather is TOP NOTCH! Barb is an adventure rider her self and has ridden from Prudehoe to Argentina. they'll take care of you in Anchorage or Kathmandu. they don't do maintenance other than swaping tires if you remove them from the bike and bring them to them. but they sell anything you need. (and will ship to anywhere. I live in mississippi and have had jackets shipped direct from vender from them, if they didn't fit I shipped them to AK leather and they re-ordered the correct size no issues or extra cost to me other than shipping it to AK.)

The Motorcycle shop is another great shop. they did a lot of the work on my sport bike while i lived there(changed to dual sports AND doing my own maintenance since leaving ak... but not because of them) good prices and quick service

the only shop I'd say stay away from is the Suzuki, Kawasaki, ArticKat dealership in Eagle River (30min outside of anchorage) I bought my bike there and will never return again... they tried every which way to change the deal... even after I purchased it (but haddn't picked it up) even tried to hide my bike so that I couldn't pick it up with out agreeing to their "new deal"

there are a couple more in anchorage... but personally... I stuck to AK Leather or the Motorcycle shop.

Good luck!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
