Louisiana now, Texas soon then headed to Mexico
My friend(aussie) and I(Irish) are on the road about a week now. Just outside New Orleans, camped at a state park last night-free wifi in the state park!
We're headed for mexico but not in a huge rush, prob within 10 days/ 2 weeks.
Anyone have any suggestions for nice riding? anyone wanna meet up for a / tag along for a day? meet up further down the line?
We're hoping to get to Panama in the next while, then maybe head into South America - we'll see how the bank balance is goin

Few hours out of Texas, headed to Panama
I'm a few hours outside of Texas (in OK) right now and headed to Panama (and beyond) via a western route. Maybe our paths will cross?

cool ride and very similar to one I have planned, although I wanna go through Baja and boat acrossed then come back up on the gulf side fire the Myan Ruins etc. But I would love to know how you do on this, as Panama is the closest end point, and argentina is the dream end point. hehe. I did find on this site some FANTASTIC info on what border crossings to use or avoide from mexico south. Its worth a read man. Seemed to save riders alot of cash and time and hassle. If you are too busy to surf, let me know, I can hunt it down again and link to you. Have a great ride and be safe!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
