Now it is 4 days and he is at Taksimo. Thats pretty normal. 5-7 days is normal from Severobaikalsk to Tynda.
Fast is 3 days to do Tynda to Severobaikalsk!
[edit] He took 6 days Severobaikalsk to Tynda. Its normal speed. Good job on a big heavy bike. But a bike like that will be heavily damaged by the BAM.

I just crossed Mark about 200km south of Severobaikalsk, a kiwi on a F650GS. He just finished the BAM with 2 riders on DRZ400's. They should just be a few days ahead of Peter. A Russian biker also did the 110 solo. The water levels seem to be very low at the moment.

@boarder. Would be nice to ride with you. It is likely that it will be too late for me though.
I plan on being in Yakutsk in about a week and may spend a few days there. But i guess you consider riding the opposite direction.

@Zimi
Yes, he made it alone. At first try, when heading to Magadan, he reached Tomtor. High level of rivers flush away one Russian bike not far away from Tomtor. He said Russian rider waited on gas station for transport. Then he decided to use new road to Magadan. On way back he tried OSR again and made it. Currently he riding "half broken" AT on M53 to Krasnoyarsk.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
