That's a great idea and exactly the sort of thing I'd love to do next year after this year's big trip.
PS we'll be arriving in Mongolia around July 27th, UB about 9th August give or take. Would be great to take advantage of your local knowledge if you're around.

Thats a great idea...you should pick up 2-3 more.
This will allow a group of 4 riders with one guide, if necessary.
A lot of people would be interested in flying into UB...and doing a round trip...the Southern Route out to Tsaangur and then the Northern route back to UB...
I'd be intererested if you have a couple bikes...and those riders could help bring spare parts when they fly in for those bikes!!

Bike
Thanks a lot's folks!!Yeah, I already bought 1 WR450 from US en-route to UB now looking to buy a second from from States will put on shipping container this month take's about 45 days to hit Mongolia.
My idea is to have 5+ good bike's here in UB where I am thinking of renting and running catered trip with support vehicle. I have several Land Cruiser and good guys who been on the field trip around Mongolia with various tourist and I also I am in tourisim business, so I can take care of the logistics in this part of the world only need agency or good contacts who can send riders to me. if you guys know anyone let me know I can buy couple more bike's and organize really good quality trip!!
Let me know if you know anybody who might be interested then we can go into more details.

Import procedures
If you could find a way to transfer temporary (traveler) import to permanent (local) import, I am sure some people could ride bikes to you one-way and sell the bikes to you when they arrive in Mongolia.
For instance, I can ride bikes from Japan to Mongolia. But I would enter Mongolia with a temporary import permit. You would have to find a legal way for me to sell you the bike.
Also, I think renting bikes is a good idea. There are risks for you (damaged bikes in the middle of nowhere). But I think many people want to travel freely without a guide and support car.
As for agency contacts,
One motorcycle tour agency here in Japan called Travelers Guardian Inc. (Doshoshin in Japanese) does tours.
I think they already handle Mongolia, but maybe they need more local motorcycle tour providers.
Here is the contact info.

Another is Cruise International inc.

Good luck!
